Trump tries to "ensure election integrity" in Wisconsin through court

The current US President Donald Trump appealed to the Supreme Court on Wednesday evening to declare the Wisconsin election "unconstitutional." Mr Trump is trying to annul the results before the January 6 U.S. Congress, when an electoral college vote is confirmed, Fox News reported.

Donald Trump's representatives said the filing was an attempt to "ensure the integrity of the election." Mr Trump filed a petition with the Supreme Court just days after the appellate court upheld a lower court ruling that the president's fraud claims were too late and unfounded.

“President Trump continues to fight for the American people and election integrity. We must restore the integrity of our process through all legal and constitutionally viable mechanisms, ”said lawyers for the incumbent President Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis in a statement. "America has seen the scale of corruption in this election and is demanding an early settlement," they said. Donald Trump's lawyers have filed a motion asking him to consider his case on an expedited basis.

The current US President intends to continue to challenge the results of the past presidential elections, he himself said in an interview. Mr Trump is convinced that he won the race in the states of Georgia, Michigan and Pennsylvania, despite a Supreme Court ruling rejecting Texas's claim to review the voting results in vacillating states.

Elections in the United States were held on November 3, the results have not been officially announced. According to the calculations of the largest media, Democrat Joe Biden won the victory.
