Iranian President Hassan Rouhani accused Israel of killing a high-ranking nuclear scientist, one of the founders of the nuclear program, Muhsin Fakhrizadeh. He said this on the air of national television, reports Reuters on Saturday, November 28.
The head of state promised that this crime would not affect the development of the nuclear industry in the country. “His martyrdom will not stop our achievement,” Rouhani concluded.
Earlier on November 28, Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, warned Israel and the United States against "adventures" after the assassination of Fakhrizadeh. In his address to the UN Secretary General , the diplomat noted that Iran reserves the right to take all necessary measures "to protect its people and its interests."
