In Russia, for the second day in a row, more than 22 thousand infected with coronavirus were detected

Over the past day in Russia, 22,572 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in 85 regions. The day before, more than 22 thousand cases were first identified. The total number of infected reached 1,925,825. 

 

In the last 24 hours, 352 people died (the day before - 391), for the entire time - 33 186. 14 456 people recovered (the day before - 18 626), in total - 1 439 985.

Most new cases in the regions:

 

·         Moscow - 6271 (total 510 214);

·         St. Petersburg  - 1944 (81,704);

·         Moscow region - 812 (96 657);

·         Nizhny Novgorod region - 412 (47 807);

·         Republic of Karelia - 358 (9988).

 

The highest number of deaths per day was recorded in Moscow - 75 (7787), in  St. Petersburg - 41 (4551), in the Rostov region - 14 (1063).

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin previously instructed regional leaders to report weekly on the introduction of restrictions to combat the coronavirus. Moreover, the measures they introduce should not harm the economy. In most subjects, the maximum possible restrictions have already been introduced, with the exception of a complete lockdown.
