aving fans is a beautiful thing, as crowds’ sheer love and admiration for the talent possessed by others has created entire industries worth of stars. Unfortunately, there are also many dangers that come with being a highly recognizable celebrity, especially when your presence so deeply affects people that they cross the boundaries of human decency. Indeed, many stars have been victims of stalkers, public humiliation, and even murders.

Lil Uzi Vert was performing at his own concert when his infamous pink diamond worth US$24 million, which he'd had implanted in his forehead in February 2021, was ripped out by fans. He was performing at Rolling Loud Miami 2021 in July when he "jumped into the crowd and they kind of ripped it out," Uzi told TMZ. When asked how he was feeling he replied, "I still have the diamond so I feel good." The rapper wrote on Twitter in January that the diamond, from jewelry designer Elliot Eliantte, is "10 almost 11 carats," and cost more than all his cars and home combined, so he's lucky he didn't lose it!
