Turkey will tighten restrictions due to COVID-19

 


The work of baths, swimming pools and gyms has been suspended since Tuesday in Turkey due to the  increase in the incidence of coronavirus in the country, the admission of citizens to shopping centers will be limited, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said.

“Baths, saunas, swimming pools, gyms will stop working from Tuesday. A certain number of visitors will be admitted to shopping centers and only by a digital code. Visits to crowded places on the streets will also be limited. The curfew will be from 21.00 to 5.00 on weekdays, and from 21.00 Friday to 5.00 Monday. State institutions will work from 10.00 to 16.00, ”Erdogan said in a televised address.


We are studying all vaccines that have already entered the last stage of trials. All our citizens will have the opportunity to receive the vaccine free of charge. Vaccinations will begin next month. We have already ordered 50 million doses of vaccines.

As the head of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Fahrettin Koca said earlier, the coronavirus pandemic in several regions of Turkey, including in Istanbul, has reached a third peak . Over the past week, the country has repeatedly recorded record rates of new cases of coronavirus and deaths from it per day. On Saturday, the number of detected cases of coronavirus infection in Turkey per day was 30 103, on Sunday 185 people died from COVID-19 , both indicators were the highest since the beginning of the pandemic.
