Trump: COVID-19 vaccine will be available in April

The American coronavirus vaccine will be available to the US population in April next year, President Donald Trump said. According to him, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) may soon approve one of the drugs being developed in the US. 

 

“Millions of doses will be released soon. They are ready and waiting for this final approval. The vaccine will be available to the entire population in April, ”Mr Trump told reporters at the White House.

 

He said his administration would work to obtain an emergency authorization for the vaccine and then coordinate its distribution.

  

Donald Trump said that at the same time, the vaccine will not be delivered to New York State , since Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo postponed the issue of vaccination of the population.

 

According to the president, the governor's decision is for political reasons, with Mr Trump calling it bad for health reasons. “We will not deliver it to  New York until we receive permission to do so (from the governor - Kommersant),” he said and noted that state residents are waiting for the vaccine to appear.

 

On October 23rd, Trump announced that the American coronavirus vaccine would appear within a few weeks. According to him, the drug is already ready. Earlier, he himself had had a coronavirus and urged citizens not to be afraid of a pandemic.
